As CMF Product Designer/Developer, I work with the VP of Design and Brand Partnership and peer designers to create stunning surface designs for all PopSockets hardware products. Additionally, I work with the Industrial Design and Engineering teams to generate and execute new product concepts, applying my skills in graphic and material/industrial design. I bring a developed awareness of product, culture, and fashion trends, and the desire to develop a sensibility for how different segments of PopSockets customers consume products.
Design basic graphic PopGrips, premium and luxe PopGrips as well as CMF for other PopSockets products, building a cohesive seasonal collection supported by trend research
Produce specification documents and manage the development process including daily communication with suppliers and overseas manufacturing partners across a multitude of projects
Lead design, trend and market research via WGSN, Hypebeast, Vogue, Wallpaper Magazine, social media and other outlets shared across teams
Create high quality presentation materials that communicate design and color direction across all departments
Coordinate with product management on go-to-market strategies, end-of-life strategies, and channel management
Work closely with product developers, industrial designers, mechanical engineers, and manufacturing partners on the execution of designs and solutions to manufacturing challenges
Create product renders; supply marketing with coherent product stories
Contribute to all creative endeavors, critical reviews, and concept sessions across the scope of the department
Concept and create color stories, designs and marketing concepts for brand partnerships that speak to PopSockets’ and collaborator’s DNA (Apple, Anker, Coca Cola, Disney, Disney Parks, Warner Brothers, Vera Bradley, Dunkin Donuts, Target (Red), Mondelez, SOG, MXMtoon, etc.)
